Edgemere Community Vision Plan

Greetings Neighbor,

On Saturday, March 18th, HPD and Councilman Richards presented the completed version of the Resilient Edgemere Community Vision Plan. For those of you who were unable to attend, here is a synopsis of the presentation and the webpage to download for viewing.  Should you require or like a hard copy of the booklet, please do not hesitate to contact directly Jenny Weyel of HPD to request a physical copy, at weyelj@hpd.nyc.gov is a well put together and easy to read composition of the various issues and remedial actions needed to make Edgemere a more sustainable and vibrant community.

This was the communal input that so many of you—your family and neighbors—provided by attending the various workshops over the course of 18 months.  While we might not get everything we advocated for, or suggested as a community, it is a start. After years of disinvestment and neglect, change has to start somewhere, and it is still up to you as a homeowner and resident to stay engaged and empowered.  We must continue to advocate for fair and inclusive amenities in the community, while ensuring that money allocated for Edgemere stays in Edgemere.
